The Tap Extension in your order has over a 50-year history of providing machinist with the Perfect Solution for Close and Long reach tapping applications.

If you are new to the Self-Locking feature of our Tap Extension, we want to ensure 100% satisfaction with these product tips for the self-locking feature;

 Important: Match the max accepted dimensions on our size charts for the Tap Square and Shank.

 Insert the tip of the Tap square and move slightly side to side to find the inner guide marks of the extension.  

 Tap the square of the Extension firmly with a Lead (soft) hammer or block to seat the Tap. Video Demo available see below.

 The Tap square should be slightly visible just above the bottom of the slot window but not covering.

 Only the custom drift provided can dislodge the Tap from the Extension.  

 Insert the custom drift provided into the slot and move in an up and downward motion or tap drift through with a soft hammer or block.

 Use in all hand and machine applications.
